PGA Tour pros change putters all the time, which makes them like the rest of us. Whether the need is for a quick fix, a mojo shakeup or a better technology story, players of all stripes are hardly reluctant to reach for a new—or at least different—putter.

The putter that helped Zach Johnson win the Masters last year is going back to the future.
Indeed, the classic SeeMore FGP putter used by Johnson has been refashioned into the mFGP putter ($325), a high-end milled version of the original.

source: www.texassports.comFRESNO, Calif. -- Texas sophomore Charlie Holland shot a three-under 69 in the final round and defeated San Diego State's Matt Hoffenberg on the third playoff hole to win the 103-player Fresno State Lexus Classic Tuesday at the par 72, 6,729-yard Fort Washington Country Club.
Holland wins the 54-hole event with a nine-under 207 to become Texas' first medalist since the 2006 season, when Matt Rosenfeld won the Big 12 Championship. Holland's fourth top-three finish of the season helped the Longhorns to a tie for second at the 20-team event, as UT finished with a three-day total of 844 strokes to finish at 20-under for the tournament. San Diego State won the event at 23-under par, and California tied for second alongside Texas at 20-under par.

A Little Payne

I visited the Pinehurst Resort on an overcast Friday; it had rained all morning and discouraged most everyone from venturing out. I viewed the Payne Stewart tribute near the 18th green of Pinehurst No. 2. The hole position that day was eerily close to the one that greeted the most famous US Open putt of my generation and arguably ever.
I had chills when I first stood next to Payne’s statue, a result of the images it conjures up and the man it represents.
