HAPPY NEW YEAR!! from SeeMore Putter Company

Thanks to all of you who have joined our SeeMorePuttersBlog.com and best wishes for a fantastic New Year.  Although certainly the world is experiencing some difficult and uncertain times, I am confident that as golfers passionate about our games we will all find some way to use our great sport in 2009 to find time for necessary relaxation, comraderie, sportsmanship, charity, competition, friendship, family, and fun.

Our team will continue to create and design some of the most exciting new putters in the world.  We already have some really cool new models not ready for market that we will take to the PGA tour in  

early 2009 for feedback.  We cannot wait to get back out to the world's greatest putter laboratory, where the best players in the world continue to help us refine products on a weekly basis.  We will  

be there starting at the Sony in Hawaii, and covering most PGA TOUR events this year.  We look forward to bringing you insights on a regular basis from the tour.

Even when times are tough and golfers must be more selective about the equipment changes they consider, we are certain that an investment in SeeMore might be the necessary step you are looking for to help your own game get to the next level.  After all, in 2008 we saw the winners of 5 of the last 8 major championships put SeeMore putters in play as a means to trying to find an improved putting stroke, so why not look into what RifleScope Technology could offer your game?

Here at The Hackers Paradise offices we get requests each and every day for different equipment to be reviewed. One of the most requested companies has always been SeeMore Putters. SeeMore originally became recognized when Payne Stewart won the 1999 U.S. Open playing a SeeMore putter. Stewart one-putted the last three holes to win the championship by one stroke. He sunk what’s considered to be the longest putt in Open history on the 18th hole to win the tournament.


In 2007 the SeeMore Putter Company was re-launched as it introduced a new line of milled putters with the only goal being to use its patented and proven RifleScope Technology (RST) alignment system to create the world’s finest putters. Zach Johnson’s 2007 Masters victory will now be forever remembered along with Payne Stewart’s dramatic US Open victory in 1999 as two of the greatest final round putting performances in history, both having relied upon SeeMore putters.


We contacted the company and were extremely happy to see that just a few short days later a putter arrived to try out for our review. When a new product arrives we always get our “first take” on the item and this one was really different. The putter looked and felt great.

Zach Johnson’s 2007 Masters Tournament victory certainly catapulted the SeeMore Putter Company’s visibility to new heights. However, the quality of these high-performance, handcrafted flat sticks was already well known amongst touring pros. Remember Payne Stewart’s 1999 U.S. Open win? The late PGA Tour star had SeeMore’s original FGP putter in his bag en route to a record-setting putting performance.

SeeMore has unveiled the brand-new mSeries putters which once again prove this Franklin, Tennessee-headquartered company is amongst the leaders in putter technology. The new mSeries includes: the mFGP platinum, a milled replica of Johnson’s putter in a beautiful platinum satin finish; m1 blade belly, and m3 mallet belly, both offering heavier head weights designed specifically for belly-design putters at longer lengths of 41 in. to 45 in.; the m1, a classic heel/toe blade with centre shaft; m2, a classic heel/toe blade with heel shaft; mFGP, a milled version of the original used by Johnson and Stewart; m3, a classic mallet with centre shaft; and the m3w mid-size mallet.

We put the m3w to work, and instantly fell in love with the smooth stroke-inducing pendulum motion. In fact, allow me to state, as a blade putter aficionado, I am tempted to make the switch to a mallet, now that I’ve putted with the m3w from SeeMore Putter Company. This gorgeous putter boasts heel/toe weighting near centre shaft design, with a new offset shaft, a platinum finish, and of course SeeMore’s patented RifleScope Technology (RST).

With RST, it’s a breeze lining up a putt of any length or difficulty. Recognizable by its visible gun sight on the top line of the putter head, RST allows a golfer to set up the putter perfectly and repeatedly, simply by lining up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines, and covering a signature red dot on the heel of the top line. Think of this as locking radar onto a target. The two parallel white sight lines frame the shaft and serve as an indicator that you are in perfect position to make a consistent and reliable stroke.

Nashville Predators Golf Night

This past Saturday night SeeMore Putter Company was involved with Play Golf America Program at the NHL Nashville Predators game against the Dallas Stars.  The event was organized by Golf House of Tennessee*.  There were 4 hitting bays along with a putting green that hockey fans could receive a 5 minute FREE putting lesson.  It was a huge success.  Fans from all ages took advantage of the FREE putting lesson.

Being a PGA member and a part of the PGA Tennessee Section, I was very proud to represent our association in this manner.  Jeff Abbot, Todd Havron and the rest of their staff did a great job organizing the event.  Between the 2nd and 3rd intermission Brandt Snedeker hit limited flight golf balls off of a golf mat from the center line to the fans in the crowd.  Brandt wore Predators hockey jersey #61 - anyone know why???  First person to leave answer in comment section on why #61 receives a SeeMore T-shirt.

Play Golf America, a nationwide golf-marketing program led by the PGA of America, represents the culmination of industry efforts set into motion by the first GOLF 20/20 conference. Launched in 2004, the campaign has focused on a target audience of new and occasional golfers—a combined group of 31 million individuals—in an effort to increase play.

The PGA of America , PGA TOUR , LPGA TOUR  and USGA  pooled a portion of their advertising inventory to run over 500 television spots. Advertising also appeared in relevant publications, and public relations in key markets promoted the program.  

 

Among the many Play Golf America initiatives featured on the site are Link Up 2 Golf, Free Lesson Month and the Golf: For Business and Life college course.  Vistors can view a list of courses in their area and which programs they offer-making it easier than ever to get into golf.

How to Spot a SeeMore Putter on TOUR

I turned on the Golf Channel this morning to peek at the Nedbank Golf Challenge at beautiful Sun City in South Africa, one of the world's big golf events, and I was surprised and delighted to see that current Master's Champion Trevor Immelman was using a SeeMore putter.  How could I tell?  As most of you SeeMore insiders realize, SeeMore putters are the easiest clubs in the world to recognize on television due to thetwo tone chrome and black shaft.  There is not one other golf club in the world that you can spot on TV or at a tournament from a hundred yards away like a SeeMore.  They were not designed with that in mind, but it has turned out to be a great thing for us in that once you know what you are looking for, a SeeMore becomes very easy to spot.  The black bottom part of the shaft, which is part of our 3 dimensional RifleScope Technology alignment system, also happens to stand out from hundreds of feet away so if you are at  an event or watching an event on TV and you see the bottom part of  the shaft black with the upper part light that is a SeeMore putter.

So there was Trevor Immelman, one of the coolest looking guys and  obviously best players on the planet, using a SeeMore.  He had 27  putts in round one, and finished even par.  Anyway, we are thrilled  when this caliber of player chooses a SeeMore putter for no other reason than to try to improve his putting game.  Go Trevor!!!

Amazingly, that means that Zach Johnson (who won the Masters with a SeeMore), and then this year Padraig Harrington and Trevor Immelman have all officially put a SeeMore putter in play during PGA tour events in 2008.  Pretty impressive considering that collectively they have won 5 of last 8 majors (not all using SeeMore at the time)!  Padraig Harrington has told the press that he regularly practices with a SeeMore putter to improve his stroke, and decided to put it in play at Memphis in June to help groove his beautiful putting stroke before going back to his regular putter.  There is never a guarantee that anyone will stay with a putter over the long term.  But these great world ranked players putting SeeMore in play in 2008 says a lot about how the best players in the world feel about SeeMore.  When they want help to improve their putting, SeeMore is one of the few brands they would trust in play.  Truly, everyone should try to putt for a few months with a SeeMore.  When you catch on to the benefits of the proven and patented technology, you will be hooked.

Can You Putt BETTER with a Long Putter??

We created the SB-1 Broomstick by collecting information from some of the best players in Southern California that use a broomstick putter. What we found out in some initial market research is that this was a relatively ignored segment of the golf population, with very few companies putting any creative and innovative resources against creating a better long putter. So we set out to change that.

Great amateurs players from Lakeside Golf Club, Marbella Country Club , staff from Max Out Golf Labs and many others contributed ideas and suggestions for the creation of the SB-1 Broomstick, which is a custom order only product now available to SeeMore insiders.

Andre Shmoldas, R&D Director for SeeMore Putter Company, designed the putter head to have the optimal weight and loft.  He also designed a unique stainless steel insert that keeps the putter head perfectly balanced through the hitting zone.  Andre also adjusted the RifleScope so that alignment to the target would be precise.

After several iterations, we introduced the final prototype to the PGA TOUR five weeks ago.  We now boast two in play (Kevin Stadler and Peter Lonard) with several other players working with the putter (Scott McCarron).  We have not taken a prototype to the Champions Tour, but plan to do that in early 2009 and expect great results.  In fact the picture above is of Peter Lonard doing a golf interview with the Golf Channel on how he uses the broomstick.

We're especially excited to learn that there is certainly a loyal group of broomstick style putter users out there, many of them great players and club champions.
