Points birdies No. 14 in round 4 of the 2009 Children's Miracle Network Classic

In the final round of the 2009 Children's Miracle Network Classic D.A. Points makes his 8th birdie of the day at the par-5 14th hole. 

Points put the putter in play for the first time at HP Byron Nelson Championship.  He finish in 3rd place earning $442,000 for his efforts.  Since then he has had it in play for the rest of the 2009 PGA Tour season.  See his results here.  Points understood how the system benefitted his putting and it shows.  Congratulations D.A. on a great 2009 year!!!

My name is Chan Song and I am currently a member of the Asian Tour and the Japan Challenge Tour.  I am 27 years old. This is my 3^rd year on the Tour.  As a junior golfer, I was ranked the 2^nd in the United States and I was nationally ranked as high as the 14^th when I graduated from college.  My aspirations are to make it successfully to the top-25 on the Asian Tour, eventually reach the Nationwide Tour and finally the PGA Tour. 

My college golf career was spent with one of the nation’s perennial powerhouse golf programs at Georgia Institute of Technology, the school that has produced star golfers like David Duval, Stewart Cink, Matt Kuchar, Bryce Molder and Troy Matteson. I earned All-American honors 3 times, something only 5 Tech players had done ahead of me.  I was considered the most consistent performer on the golf team during my senior year.  I finished my NCAA career as the #14 ranked golfer in the country.  However, one thing I am most proud of is being able to successfully complete my degree with high honors. 

Family

I am the oldest of 3 children. My father is In Jong Song and my mother is Vanee Wongluekiet.  I have twin sisters whom I am very proud of.  They are Aree and Naree Song.  Aree is on the LPGA Tour, where in 2004, she was the runner up for Rookie-of-the-year. Naree is playing the Duramed Futures Tour and is also a David Leadbetter certified golf instructor.  Three of us have won an unprecedented total of 29 national junior championships.

 Introduction to SeeMore Putter Company 

It was my first event on the Asian Tour as a pro after having survived Tour school by 1 shot, which by the way is one of the most nerve wrecking rounds of my life!  It was the Pakistan Open.  I was excited and ready to play.  Then unluckily, my whole bright world came crashing down.  I was unavoidably late for the player's shuttle bus, so I ran and I yanked a bag from the luggage carousel in a really bad form. Accidentally, I tore the ligament of my right index finger. Yikes!!  Injury is no fun for an athlete, especially when he has to use his hands for a living. I had been completely out for 6 months!  

It was a cool day in February and my right hand was still in a cast. There I was thinking if my golf career was over.  My sisters were going to the PGA merchandise show and so I decided to go with them.    That was when I ran into Jim Grundberg, Jason Pouliot and their team.  I had heard about SeeMore from that famous putt on the 18th hole in 1999 when Payne Stewart drained the 15 footer to win the US Open.  WOW! Every kid growing up dream of winning the US Open and making that last putt in front of millions of viewers around the world.  I tried out one of the putters and I took home an M 5 that day.  I was also fortunate enough to work with a putting guru himself, Pat O' Brien.  I was so impressed with the SeeMore team that day and how genius everyone was.  I had a blast!  

I came home that night and put my thinking cap on. I realized what I could do with my life with this time off.  I am a person who believes that things happen for a reason.

Golf is a global game but very few golfers are appealed to a broader demographic.   I have a Korean & Thai descent, while having grown up in the United States. I am truly a citizen of the world.  Because of my heritage, I genuinely feel like I can help this company connect with consumers across the whole of Asia; from Southeast Asia to China, to Korea – not to mention America.   I am also the 1^st multi-cultural-Asian-American player to graduate from a top university with a major in the golf program with this kind of credentials.

That's when my relationship began and it brought me to where I am today.  I want to share our SeeMore story with everyone in Asia and this is why I am now helping SeeMore grow in Asia.  I’ve started with one customer, one green grass store, one distributor and one country at a time.   Below is some of the great work that I have already started (Chinese newspaper).
