Chan Song - VP Sales Asia
I landed at Kuala Lumper International on the day before Christmas and there was a sign that read 'Selamat datang' which means 'Welcome' in Malay. Then I took a taxi to the hotel that i was staying in downtown. I have been to Malaysia numerous times during the time i was touring on the Asian Tour. People here are really nice and laid back. Malaysia really reminds me of America in a way because its one big 'melting pot.' The majority of the population is Malay. Then comes the Chinese- Malay, Indian-Malay, and White- Malay. If you were wondering what the weather was like on the eve of Christmas? Well its humid and hot...around 85 degrees and 100 percent humidity. No white Chirstmas here.... thats for sure. The most famous modern marvel here are the Twin towers which was featured extensively in the movie Entrapment with Sean Connery. The MST CEO, Mr. KP Low, greeted me at the hotel and took me to lunch. He took me to a little' hole in the wall' chicken and pork barbecue which i thought was kind of neat. It was delicious! Next i spent the rest of the afternoon training all the staff and introduced our new line for 2010.
I met the head teaching coach for MST, Dean Hartman, who is actually from the States. He has been working with MST for a couple years and loves our SeeMore putters. He said he likes that our putters put players from every level into a consistent 'mold' for solid putting; better aim, better posture, and better stroke! I told him BINGO...thats what our putters does.
During the last part of my visit, we played putting games and i gave out some of our merchandise for the winners of each contest. All in all it was a wonderful day. 'Terima kasih' ( its means thank you in Malay ) for reading my Blog and 'Selamat tinggal' ( means good bye in Malay )
