Duangdecha's Day At Thailand Open - Shooting 60 with SeeMore Si1 Putter!!!

(excerpt taking from story) Thailand’s Udorn Duangdecha shot a sensational 12-under-par 60 to take the halfway lead in the US$1 million Thailand Open on OneAsia today.

The 39-year-old, who has become famous for wearing flamboyant golf gear, moved to 12-under-par 132 for the tournament and a one stroke lead over Australian Matthew Griffin.

It was a bogey free round which saw him start on the tenth and make the turn in five-under-par 31. He then tore apart the next nine in 29 shots. He made six birdies in a row starting on the 18th before crossing over to continue his birdie spree.

Story - Duangdecha's Day At Thailand Open

 

(From Chan Song - Team SeeMore - ASIA) Udorn Duangdecha, 39 years old,  has been using the Si 1 @ 33 inches since June 2010  and he has been doing well on the local circuit ( ranked 3rd ) ,  Asian Tour     (ranked 62 ) and OneAsia Tour.   He hails from the 2nd largest city in Thailand calls Chiang Mai.  This is where I spent the first 10 years of my life before moving to America.   

Udorn is one of the best ball strikers I have ever seen but has always been a streaky putter.   I use to spend hours on the driving range in Chiang Mai watching him hit these lovely towering drives and crisp iron shots onto the range.  He approached me a couple months ago after he found out I was doing the managing SeeMore Asia and quickly remembers Payne Stewart.  I gave him a few putters to try and he finally found the right in the Si1.  He has always been a center shaft putter and he knew our  RST technology would benefit him.  He love the idea that our putters can put him  an edge over his competion.  He said to me that golf already has way too many variables and with our putters he can find consistency and something "he can hang his hat on" under pressure.

Summary: The SeeMore Si3 Putter has a wonderful feel and its unique RifleScope Technology alignment system will improve your putting by providing a consistent and repeatable setup position.

If you’re unfamiliar with SeeMore Putters then the first thing you will notice is their unique RifleScope Technology (RST) alignment system that’s found on the heel.  This simple marking - a red dot flanked by two white stripes (see photos above) is what SeeMore is all about.  The red dot is featured on every model of putter that they make. 

One thing that you can’t see from a photo however, is the great feel of the SeeMore Si3 putter.  I love the custom Winn grip - it just feels right in your hands and helps maintain a light grip pressure.  The head has ideal weighting - not too heavy but not too light.  The thermoplastic face insert makes even the hardest golf ball feel like a buttery soft balata. 

The Si3 is a classic small mallet with a slightly back of center shaft design. Si3 is the straight shaft option, featuring 1/3 toe hang.  There is a Si3w also available, which is the offset version featuring 5 percent toe hang, near face balanced.

Don’t worry if you’re not a fan of small mallet putters.  The Si1 is a deep flanged blade and the Si2 is a classic heel/toe blade.  In addition to that there are a number of other series’ in the SeeMore family.  Large mallets, classic hosel blades, belly putters, long putters, etc.  You name it and they have it.  You can be sure to find the exact putter type in their deep catalog that meets your personal preference.  All SeeMore putters fall between $150-$350.

SeeMore putters can be ordered directly from their website and can be custom built - length, lie, grip and headcover are all configurable.  The Si3 that I tested can be ordered anywhere from 31” to 37”, in half inch increments, with a lie angle between 66-74 degrees.

Now lets get back to that RifleScope Technology (RST) alignment system. The theory goes that the red dot, if kept hidden from your view by the bottom of the shaft, will improve both your setup and putting stroke. “Hide the Red Dot” allows the golfer to set up the putter consistently every time in relation to the intended target, leading to a better set up, better alignment, and a better stroke.  If you can see the red dot at any point during your setup or putting stroke then either your clubface is open or closed, your ball position is too far forward or back or the shaft is leaning too far forward or back.

A SeeMore putter is just as much about a putting system than it is the actual putter.  The RST is developed and based around the theory that the nose should be perfectly in line with a vertical putter shaft and the ball.

SeeMore Si Series Putter - REVIEW

I was one of the lucky few to win the golf lottery and had the pleasure of trying out a SeeMore Si3 series putter. I would first like to thank Mygolfspy for this amazing experience and hope that my fellow winners will write a review that way we can keep this amazing program going. 

SeeMore Putter

Let me start by saying this company was amazing to work with. They contacted me extremely quick to get the proper length and lie of the putter along with which model i would like to test. If this is a how their customer services is then they are one of the best because they got everything correct and they shipped the putter extremely fast, it is a great company to order from. Now on to the Review 

Grip- 8

The grip is a Winn AVS which seems to be the grip choice among all putters ( ping and odyssey i believe use these exact grips) The grip is a medium grip with a little tackiness to it. I gave it an 8 because i prefer a firmer cord grip, but if you like the ping and odyssey grips then you will love this grip also.

Look -10

I love the look of this putter. It has a darker finish just like the odyssey white ice line they provide a excellent contrast between the finish and the sight lines, you can really see them pop when you are on the green lining up a putt which I feel makes it a lot easier to focus and visualize the line. I gave it a perfect 10 because it has my favorite finish on putter and their sight lines seem to pop out a lot more then any other putter on the market

Feel 8.5

The feel has a nice little click to it when stuck, you can really feel it coming off the face when stuck in the center. I like the feel but when stuck slightly off center the feel is a bit harsher no for a player wanting to know when they haven't stuck it on center this a really good thing as for my self i like it to feel the same unless i really hit it off the toe or heel. Now when you hit it center it has a firm yet soft feel.

Function 10

The greatest thing about this putter and the whole SeeMore line is the rifle scoop technology which is the red dot and black shaft. You make sure you can't see the red dot through your stroke and you know you have hit it online. This club was so easy to line up and get the face square it was amazing. I realized after putting with it awhile that my setup was flawed and where i thought i was aiming was not where i was aiming. this putter has helped my line up more putts where I want them to go then any other putter. I give it a 10 because the technology is there and it works 

Overall 9.2

I think this putter is built extremely well and will really help you line up the putter face square which will help you sink more putts It has a firm yet soft feel which is going to help when they start making softer covers for the new grooves. This is a putter everyone should look at, plus they have a few lines so you can get one that has the right feel for you.
